Honeysuckle – Hall’s

figsforlife - Honeysuckle 'Halliana'

Lonicera japonica (Halliana)    aka  Hall’s Japanese Honeysuckle

z. 4 – 11       ht.  15′ and more

Hall’s honeysuckle vine produces an abundant display of beautiful purple-tinged white blossoms (fading to yellow) that send out, very, very generously, the most heavenly fragrance (some say of vanilla). Blooms from April to July. Loved by hummingbirds and bees (and kids) for the abundant nectar found in the blossoms. Yes, it is very vigorous; just prune it back every so often to keep it contained.
