z. 7 – 10 aka – Magnolia
Large, tawny – yellow figs with strawberry – pink flesh, sweet and very rich flavour. Large, handsome and vigorous tree handling cold and wet temperatures in winter. Grown in the Pacific Northwest for over a 100 years. Tree is not as prolific as Desert King but figs are large and delicious. Consistently rated as one of the best tasting figs, with a notable ‘figgy’ taste.
We recommend that you plant this tree in a protected spot; then mulch fairly heavily around its base and finally protect it with a burlap wrap in mid-Winter for the first few years.
All Fig Trees are large 1-gal size plants.
