Lycium chinense aka Chinese Wolfberry
z. 3 – 8 ht. 8′ – 12′
Very cold-hardy shrub loaded in summer with edible red berries. This superfood berry is notable for being one of the most nutrient-dense in the world. Berries are eaten fresh or dried. Leaves and young shoots are also edible. Drought tolerant, handles dry, thin, gravelly soil. Likes sun. On the coast, Goji does not like wet feet in winter, so plant, ideally, in a raised bed, in sand, or in a dryer spot in your yard. Native to gravelly washes in Mongolia.
All Permaculture Plants are 1-gallon sized plants.
